Commercial Grade Citroflex® 2 is recommended as a plasticizer for cellulosic derivatives as well as natural resins such as dammar and ester gums. Citroflex® 2 imparts increased grease resistance to polymer formulations and improved light-fastness to lacquer formulations. Citroflex® 2 is used as a fixative for perfumes and as a plasticizer and film strengthening agent in hair sprays, nail polish and as an active ingredient in deodorants. Citroflex® 2 has numerous listings in 21 CFR for food contact applications. Citroflex® 2 NF Grade is widely used in pharmaceutical coatings.
Citroflex ® A-2 Citroflex® A-2 (Acetyl triethyl Citrate) is recommended for use in cellulosic resin derivatives. For example, it offers low warping characteristics with cellulose acetate. Citroflex® A-2 has listings in 21 CFR for food contact applications. Citroflex® A-2 has been accepted for use as a plasticizer in food wrap films by the US Food & Drug Administration. Citroflex® A-2 may be used as a fixative for perfumes and as a plasticizer and film strengthening agent in hair sprays, nail polish and as a component in ink formulations. Citroflex® A-2  A special quality Citroflex® A-2 sold as ATEC,NF is used in pharmaceutical coatings.
Citroflex ® 4
Citroflex® 4 (Tributyl Citrate)  does not support fungal growth. Citroflex® 4 is a excellent plasticizer for both cellulosic and vinyl resins. In recent years, Citroflex® 4 has found utility as a plasticizer in polylactic acid resins as a biodegradable component.  As a plasticizer in furniture coatings Citroflex® 4 provides improved light stability in cellulose acetate formulations. Citroflex® 4 is also an excellent defoaming agent in proteinaceous solutions. A special quality Citroflex® 4 sold as TBC, PG, is used in pharmaceutical coatings.
Citroflex® A-4 Citroflex® A-4 (Acetyltri-n-butyl Citrate) is widely used as a plasticizer in food contact polymer applications. Citroflex® A-4 provides many improvements over dibutyl phthalate in cellulose nitrate films and Citroflex A-4 has shown outstanding properties as a plasticizer in vinyl toys for children offering excellent processing options, low toxicity, and a long history of use in sensitive applications.  Citroflex A-4 provides improved adherence to metals, low volatility, resistance to yellowing. Citroflex A-4  has numerous listings in 21 CFR for food contact applications.  Citroflex A-4 also is used in ink formulations, vinyl gloves, as a non-VOC solvent, in nitrocellulose propellants, as a plasticizer in nail polishes, adhesives and coatings. Citroflex® A-4 is effective in solution coating both paper board and foil.
Citroflex® A-4 Special Citroflex® A-4 Special (Acetyl tri-n-butyl Citrate)  is manufactured in a unique, patented process. It is recommended for medical articles and similar sensitive applications. Citroflex® A-4 Special has found use as a lubricant for tin plate.  A special version of Citroflex® A-4 Special is sold as ATBC, PG, for use in pharmaceutical coatings.
Citroflex ® A-6 Citroflex® A-6 (Acetyl tri-n-hexyl Citrate) is specially formulated for use in PVC medical articles such as tubing and IV bags intended to come into contact with aqueous medium. It is a component of a formulation that has passed the USP Class VI testing for medical articles.
Citroflex® B-6 Citroflex® B-6 (n-Butyryl tri-n-hexyl Citrate) is a higher molecular weight plasitcizer specifically designed for use in medical articles especially blood storage bags.  Citroflex® B-6 provides improved low temperature properties relative to the current phthalate plasticizers and superior long-term stability for the red blood cells.  Citroflex B-6 is a component of several FDA approved blood bag systems.
