B-6 |
Citroflex® B-6 (n-Butyryltri-n-hexyl
Citrate) is a higher molecular weight citrate that has low migration from
PVC and excellent low temperature properties. Citroflex®
B-6 has a current Drug Master File (DMF) with the FDA per #6591.
Citroflex® B-6 is used as a PVC
plasticizer for blood storage containers. Several companies have obtained
FDA approvals for the blood bags containing the Citroflex®
B-6. A substantial toxicology database exists for the use of Citroflex®
B-6 in this sensitive market. |

Citroflex®
A-6 (Acetyltri-n-hexyl Citrate) is a higher molecular weight citrate with
reduced migration from the PVC and improved low temperature properties.
Citroflex® A-6 has demonstrated
performance in medical tubing and has passed USP Class VI testing for a
tubing formulation. Citroflex® A-6 has
a current Drug Master file submission with the FDA per #8888.
