The major use for tri-n-hexyl trimellitate is as a plasticizer for PVC and its copolymers. It provides the excellent compatibility and efficiency properties of monomerics together with the permanence properties of many polymerics.

Vinyls plasticized with this ester find application in variety of markets including automotive and furniture upholstery, wire coatings and gasketing materials.
